Most Christians claim that anyone who doesn’t do the right thing(s) before they die will be punished without end, maybe even consciously. Does possibly losing our loved ones permanently, maybe even to be tortured, sound like good news to anyone who isn’t selfish? Well, here’s actual Good News: Christ died for our sins, He was buried (He was buried — not just His body, while He went elsewhere — which means He actually died, ceasing to exist as a conscious being), and He rose again the third day, and so everyone who is mortal because of what Adam did will be made immortal (and sinless) because of what Christ did, although each in their own order: those to whom God has given the faith to believe the above Good News first, and then everyone else at a later time (technically at later times, plural). Because God was in Christ, making peace with the world and not imputing our trespasses unto us, all will come to a knowledge of the truth and be reconciled to God eventually, but you can be at peace with God now and have a special, early experience of salvation, because God truly is the Saviour (not just the potential Saviour) of all humanity, especially of believers (not exclusively of believers) of this Good News.
